Security and Intelligence Service: 5 more websites publishing false information in areas affecting national security to be blocked
The director of the Security and Intelligence Service (SIS), Alexandru Musteața, signed an order on Wednesday (22 March) to block five websites for publishing false information that could affect national security, a statement said.
According to the order, access to: sputniknews.com, md.sputniknews.com, ro.sputniknews.com, sputniknews.ru, md.sputniknews.ru will be suspended.
“By the Order of the Director of the Intelligence and Security Service of 22 March 2023, the list of online content sources promoting false information in the field affecting national security under the state of emergency, approved by Parliament Decision No. 41/2022, was supplemented with the portals: sputniknews.com, md.sputniknews.com, ro.sputniknews.com, sputniknews.ru, md.sputniknews.ru”
According to SIS representatives, “The order containing binding instructions was sent to providers of electronic communications networks and/or services to block, in accordance with the law, immediate access to the above-mentioned sources for users in Moldova”.
