Moldova will Receive 24.8 Million Euros from the World Bank for the Purchase of Vaccines
The Moldovan Government approved in a meeting on Wednesday, September 15, the draft ratification of the Agreement between Moldova and the World Bank on additional financing of 24.8 million euros for the purchase of vaccines.
According to the World Bank, the additional funding will support the purchase of eligible vaccines against COVID-19 in order to cover 30% of the population during stages 2 and 3 of vaccination. Also, within the respective financing, technical and financial support will be provided to vaccinate 50% of the citizens of Moldova.
On April 28, the World Bank in Moldova announced that additional funding of 24.8 million euros for the purchase of vaccines had been approved.
