DOC Moldova Will Pay in 2020 Over €3.4 Million to International Organizations

In 2020, Moldova would pay from the state budget over €3.4 million as membership dues and debts to 69 international and regional organizations.

The Ministry of Finance designed the project distributing the €3.4 million to:

• five parliamentary organizations around 300,000 euros;
• fifty-seven international organizations, including the Council of Europe, United Nations, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, Interpol around €2.8 million;
• seven structures within the Commonwealth of Independent States around 300,000 euros

According to the informative note, the membership dues to the international and regional organizations to which Moldova is part is an imperative objective in the process of promoting the foreign policy and image of the country, as a credible partner. 

The project is proposed for public consultations until January 14.
