The Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (PA) informs that as a result of the searches carried out on August 20 at the house of the accountant of the Party of Socialists of Moldova (PSRM), the prosecutors found and seized the accountant’s mobile phone and documents and computer devices, which will be examined.

According to the PA, conversations made by the person concerned with various people both via SMS and online applications were found on her mobile phone: Telegram, Viber, WhatsApp, regarding the circumstances of PSRM financing.

At the same time, during the searches, documents and computer devices were found and seized, which will be examined with other evidence in the criminal case under investigation.

The PSRM accountant is being investigated at liberty. On August 5, 2022, a preventive measure in the form of an order not to leave the locality was imposed on her, and she is prohibited from communicating and interacting directly or through intermediaries with the persons involved in this criminal case.

According to the PA, the person concerned is accused of complicity together with the former head of state and other persons, accepting the financing of the PSRM political party from the criminal group created and led by Vladimir Plahotniuc, falsifying the financial management reports of the PSRM political party for 2018 and 2019, falsifying official documents by two or more persons and money laundering by an organized criminal group.
