The Court decided Grigorievs’ expel

Today the court decided to expel Alex Grigorievs, the director of the National Democratic Institute (NDI) from Moldova’s territory.

Following yesterday’s MAI (‘Ministry of Interior Affairs”) Migration Service report opening regarding the illegal stay of Grigorievs in Republic Moldova, the Center Court decided today that he will be expelled.

Grigorievs lawyer decided to attack this decision in the appeal court.

We would like to remind that the Alex Grigorievs permit stay in Moldova expired last September, but he made a request to prolong the permit since August 2008. The authorities didn’t give Grigorievs any clear response during this entire period, and yesterday he was escorted by the police to the MAI headquarter.
