Foreign Minister Nicu Popescu will Meet in Moscow with his Russian Counterpart Sergei Lavrov and Putin’s special Representative Dmitry Kozak
The head of the diplomacy of Moldova Nicu Popescu will pay a visit to Moscow between November 16 and 17, at the invitation of his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov.
The program of the visit includes meetings with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov, with the Deputy Head of the Administration of the Presidency of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Kozak, and the Chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the Federation Council, Grigory Karasin.
Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu will meet with Dmitry Patrushev, Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
On Wednesday, November 17, at 12:00, Minister Nicu Popescu and Russian counterpart Serghei Lavrov will hold a press conference, which can also be followed on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
In October, a delegation led by former Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Vlad Kulminski paid a working visit to Moscow in the context of the gas crisis.
In August, President Maia Sandu had a meeting with Dmitry Kozak, the special representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which they discussed the issue of exports of Moldovan agricultural products to the Russian market, the contract for the supply of natural gas, including on the subject of settling the Transnistrian conflict.
Then, Dmitry Kozak said that Russia is ready to help Moldova, but on the condition that Russia’s interests are respected.
