President Maia Sandu will Participate in the Paris Peace Forum
President Maia Sandu will participate in the Paris Peace Forum, on November 11-12.
On November 11, President Maia Sandu will participate in the official opening ceremony of the Peace Forum, in the presence of the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, but also of other heads of state and government. On November 12, Maia Sandu will have a bilateral meeting with the President of France, Emmanuel Macron. Subsequently, the head of state will participate in the thematic session of the Peace Forum entitled “In charge: Empowering women in public decision making processes.”
President Sandu will also have several bilateral meetings, including with Alar Karis, the President of Estonia, and Guðni Th. Johannesson, President of Iceland. On the same day, Maia Sandu will deliver a speech on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
In France, the head of state will be accompanied by Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova, and Cristina Gherasimov, Secretary General of the Presidency.
