Roaming Tariffs between Moldova and EU Countries Could be Eliminated
Roaming tariffs between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union countries could be eliminated. The announcement was made by the Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz who is on an official visit to Chisinau at the invitation of the Moldovan Foreign Minister Nicu Popescu.
At the same time the two officials agreed to undertake joint actions as to facilitate the process of conversion of driving permits for Moldovan citizens in the Republic of Poland and other states from the European Union.
“We will support those initiatives that will be announced by Chisinau as mentioned above for the elimination of roaming tariffs between Moldova and the countries of the European Union. And also solving the problem of driving permits for Moldovan citizens. In this sense you have all of our support” underlined the Polish Minister at a press conference.
Minister Jacek Czaputowicz confirmed his country interest in further supporting Moldova in implementing the reform agenda as well as the European integration process.
“I want to send a strong signal to my colleagues from the Republic of Moldova in regard with the pro-European aspect of the integration policy. And assure them of the support from the Republic of Poland. Those changes which took place after June 14 this year for the peaceful transmission of state power are a welcomed component viewed with good eyes” says Poland’s Foreign Minister.
At the same time the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova Nicu Popescu remarked that he discussed with his Polish counterpart the future of the Eastern Partnership.
“Thanks to the Eastern Partnership, the Association Agreement and the Free Trade Zone with the EU Moldova is an integral part of the economy of the European Union. 68% of our goods are exported to EU” claimed Nicu Popescu.
