The deputy head of the administration of the Presidency of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Kozak, will pay a visit to Moldova, at the invitation of the Chișinău authorities.

Asked by Ziarul de Gardă, the officials from the Government informed us that an invitation was sent to the Deputy Head of the Administration of the Presidency of the Russian Federation regarding a visit to Moldova, but did not specify the period and purpose of the visit.

“Mr. Kozak was sent an invitation to come to Chișinău and he accepted it,” said Anastasia Taburceanu.

In August, President Maia Sandu had a meeting with Dmitry Kozak, the special representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which she discussed the issue of exports of Moldovan agricultural products to the Russian market, the contract for the supply of natural gas to our country, including on the subject of settling the Transnistrian conflict.

Then, Dmitry Kozak said that “Russia is ready to help Moldova, but on a mutually beneficial basis, not to the detriment of the national interests of the Russian Federation.

On October 13, a state of alert was issued in Moldova in the natural gas sector so that the responsible institutions can take concrete measures to protect the citizens and the energy security of the country. The announcement was made by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Andrei Spînu, after the meeting of the Commission for Exceptional Situations.
