The IMF will Start Negotiations with the Moldovan Authorities on a New Financial Support Program
The Representative of the International Monetary Fund in Moldova, Rodgers Chawani, announces that the IMF expert team led by Ruben Atoyan will start negotiations with the Moldovan authorities regarding a new financial support program.
”The IMF mission will hold discussions in the 2021 consultations on the request of the Moldovan authorities for a new program, focused on a set of policies that will lay the foundations for the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and the promotion of reforms related to good governance and institutional reforms.”
On August 25, the special financing, worth about 235 million dollars, approved by the International Monetary Fund on August 2, arrived in Chișinău.
The IMF is an international organization that aims to promote international monetary cooperation, facilitate the expansion and balanced growth of international trade, and promote currency stability.
