President Maia Sandu on Her Meeting With Kozak
President Maia Sandu claims that during the meeting with Dmitri Kozak they discussed the issue of exports of Moldovan agricultural products to the Russian market, the new natural gas supply contract for our country, and the subject of Transnistrian conflict regulations.
“We reiterated our position on a pragmatic and constructive dialogue, which should be in the interest of the citizens of Moldova. We discussed several important topics on the bilateral agenda, including the issue of exports of Moldovan agricultural products to the Russian market and the new contract for the supply of natural gas to our country. We also discussed the issues regarding the Transnistrian conflict regulations. We reconfirmed the position of Moldova in relation to the settlement process exclusively peacefully, using political and diplomatic instruments and in the existing negotiations, respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our countries within their recognized international borders.
The head of state mentioned that she has a full agenda with the Russian Federation and many topics of common interest for “the state and for our citizens”.
“We discussed them today and they are ready to address them at length, including by stepping up bilateral contacts. We appreciated the openness of the Russian parties in this regard, which can contribute to strengthening the dialogue between our countries,” said Sandu in a post on Facebook.
