The New Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nicu Popescu, will Pay a Visit to Romania
The new Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova, Nicu Popescu, announces that he had a telephone conversation on Friday, August 6, with Bogdan Aurescu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania. In the next period, Nicu Popescu will pay a visit to Bucharest, at the invitation of his counterpart.
According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bogdan Aurescu reaffirmed Romania’s consistent support for the European agenda of Moldova, the full implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU, and the support of our country at the EU level.
“During the discussions, we agreed with the Romanian side to accelerate the implementation of priority bilateral projects and to identify new opportunities that meet the concrete needs of citizens, based on the bilateral Strategic Partnership for European integration of Moldova. I mentioned that taking over Romania’s experience and expertise in the field of European integration, the realization of joint projects in the field of energy infrastructure, transport, and communications will bring Moldova even closer to the EU. I was invited by Minister Aurescu to pay a visit to Bucharest in the next period, an invitation that I gladly accepted,” said Popescu in a post on Facebook.
The government in Chișinău received the vote of the Parliament on Friday, and the ministers took the oath.
