Interim Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi Paid an Official Visit to Turkey
The interim prime minister, head of Moldovan diplomacy, Aureliu Ciocoi paid a working visit to Turkey on June 17-20 as head of the Moldovan delegation to the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the countries participating in The South East European Cooperation Process and in the Antalya Diplomatic Forum.
Heads of state and government from 13 countries met in Antalya to identify new ways to work together in south-eastern Europe. The main topics addressed at the 25th anniversary of the South East European Cooperation Process were the support of democracy, the improvement of economic relations, and the post-covid recovery.
During the trip, the head of Moldovan diplomacy held bilateral meetings with Turkish Foreign Ministers Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Ukrainian Dmytro Kuleba, Montenegrin, Đorđe Radulović, and Kyrgyz Ruslan Kazakbaev, discussing ways to intensify bilateral political dialogue. In the multilateral framework, the Moldovan official had a meeting with Miroslav Jenča, the assistant secretary-general of the UN.
The agenda of the Moldovan delegation also addressed issues related to the regional situation and convergent measures to overcome the global health crisis.
