The Russian Duma: ”The creation of the ‘associated trio’ between Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova is similar to the implementation of US orders”
The representatives of the Russian State Duma consider that the creation of the “associated trio” between Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova is similar to the “implementation of US orders”.
“The creation of the ‘associated trio’ between Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova is an attempt to build a ‘sanitary cordon’ against Russia in the southern part of the post-Soviet space. Such a union of three countries is like “implementing US orders,” Elena Panina, a member of the State Duma’s International Affairs Committee, told RIA Novosti.
In the interview for RIA Novosti, Elena Panina also mentioned that cooperation between countries will have nothing to do with “European integration”, the chances of Ukraine and Georgia in this regard, in her opinion, being almost nil, and for Moldova are relevant only if this country is “absorbed by Romania”.
On May 17, Moldova, Ukraine, and Georgia signed a memorandum on cooperation in the field of European integration.

“The memorandum sets out a series of objectives for the cooperation of the countries associated with the European Union and provides the normative basis for undertaking joint diplomatic efforts, trilateral consultations, public communication actions.”
