    Romania Donates to Moldova Another 50,000 Doses of Vaccine

    Romania will send another 50,400 doses of COVID-19 vaccine to Moldova through the Civil Protection Mechanism of the European Union, said the Romanian Prime Minister, Florin Cîțu.

    Romania will send another 50,400 doses of COVID-19 vaccine to Moldova through the Civil Protection Mechanism of the European Union. The statement was made by the Romanian Prime Minister, Florin Cîțu.

    “This weekend we will send another 50,400 doses of vaccine to Moldova. We are committed to send 200,000 doses”, said the Romanian Prime Minister.

    The Moldovan Ministry of Health announces that until now, 30,722 people have been immunized against COVID-19 and 3,277 people have been vaccinated in the last 24 hours.

    On March 23, immunization with Pfizer vaccines began. Moldova received on March 19, another 24,570 doses of vaccine against COVID-19, through the COVAX platform.

    On Thursday, March 4, the Moldovan authorities received another batch of 14,400 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine through the COVAX platform.

    The vaccination campaign against COVID-19 in Moldova started on March 2, after over 21,000 doses of vaccine, donated by Romania through the Union Civil Protection Mechanism, arrived in Chișinău on February 27.
