Romania provided Moldova free of charge with 1.5 million surgical masks, 100,000 FFP3 type protective masks, 100,000 complete overalls, and 100,000 disposable gloves, worth 2.3 million euros.
The Romanian Ministry of Internal Affairs Bogdan Aurescu mentioned in his speech that the only way for Moldova to prosper and develop is to continue the European path and to fully implement the reforms undertaken under the Association Agreement.
“Romania will always support this path both bilaterally and in the European Union,” Bogdan Aurescu added.
The Minister also stated that Romania will continue the projects carried out in Moldova, including the most important interconnections “meant to bring Moldova through Romania closer to the EU.
„Moldova must aspire to occupy its well-deserved place among the democratic and developed nations of Europe,” Aurescu said.
The event was attended by president Maia Sandu; Interim Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi; Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Bogdan Aurescu; Ambassador of the European Union Peter Michalko; State Secretary at the Romanian Ministry of Internal Affairs Raed Arafat; State Secretary at the Ministry of Health Tatiana Zatîc.
