Maia Sandu had a meeting with Siegfried Mureșan, Vice President of the European People’s Party and Co-Chair of the Parliamentary Committee of the EU-Moldova Association, and David McAllister, Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament, with which she discussed new development opportunities for Moldova.

“During this visit, I had the opportunity to meet with distinguished members of the European Parliament and friends of Moldova, Siegfried Mureșan, and David McAllister. We discussed new development opportunities for our country, maintaining the increased interest of the EU for close bilateral cooperation despite the lack of a functioning government in Chișinău,” says the President.

”I thanked members of the European People’s Party for their constant support for democratic processes and for promoting respect for human rights and freedoms in Moldova. Also, I would like to thank them for the support provided in recent years and I asked them to help in finding solutions so that the anti-Covid-19 vaccine reaches our country as soon as possible. By cooperating with European partners, Moldova can manage to mitigate the impact of the economic and health crisis”, Maia Sandu noted on Facebook.
