ZdG Won Top Prizes in the “Reflecting the Phenomenon of Corruption in the Press” Contest
On the International Anti-Corruption Day, Transparency International – Moldova and the Independent Press Association announced the winners of the 10th edition of the contest “Reflecting the phenomenon of corruption in the press”.
Ziarul de Garda journalists took the second and third places. Anatolie Eșanu won second place for his 2019 investigation ”Backstage Purchases of Ambulances: Criminal Cases, Non-compliances and Political Affiliations” and Victor Moșneag won third place for his “The National Anticorruption Center – a luxury factory” investigation.
Journalists from 8 national and local media institutions submitted 47 articles and investigations to the contest. All the articles were introduced in a book “Journalists against corruption” that will be distributed to public institutions and other interested organizations.
