The Constitutional Court Suspended Another Socialist-Shor Bill
The Constitutional Court suspended the bill voted by the Socialist-Shor majority by which the land of the former Republican Stadium was returned to the state property. The decision came after the court received a notification from the deputies of the Dignity and Truth Platform Party.
Examining the notification, the Court considers it necessary to suspend the actions of the contested bill, in order to verify, if there are some bilateral agreements between the Government of Moldova and the Government of the United States of America.
The U.S. came with a reaction after the bill was voted in the Parliament, stating that
It violates a binding bilateral agreement, it violates international law, and adversely affects the relations between the United States and Moldova.
