The Filip Government met in a closed meeting and approved two decisions
The government led by Pavel Filip organized a meeting today, June 11, without announcing it publicly. At the meeting, he decided to move the headquarters of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova from Israel to Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers led by Pavel Filip decided to approve the Agreement regarding the sale of the land for the construction of the US Embassy in the Republic of Moldova.
“We were in a position to urgently approve these projects in view of the political instability and uncertainty in the country, as well as the latest political developments by which one of the parties that have been trying to block these two projects continuously attempts to illegally take over the power. These are two of our prior commitments and we want to be certain that they will be respected regardless of the early elections results,” said Prime Minister Pavel Filip, according to a press release posted on the Government’s website .
In Moldova, two governments, one led by Maia Sandu, another led by Pavel Filip, claim legitimacy. In the past days, however, several European countries have declared their support of the Sandu Government, voted on Saturday by a parliamentary majority of the PSRM and the ACUM block.
