The Vice – President of the Shor Party States that Shor Will Return to Moldova Very Soon

The Vice – President of the Shor Party, Marina Tauber, states that Ilan Shor, former mayor of Orhei and fugitive businessman, will return to Moldova very soon. According to Tauber, Shor would have more compromising information related to President Igor Dodon.

In an interview for Radio Europe Free, Mariana Tauber, a deputy from the Shor Party parliamentary faction, stated that the leader of the Shor Party and fugitive businessman Ilan Shor will soon return to Moldova.

Maybe tomorrow, maybe the day after tomorrow, very, very soon. The parliamentary majority must take into consideration that an extraordinary sitting could take place, especially after they abusively closed the spring-summer session. And when Shor will be present at the sitting, it’s going to be a big surprise, first and foremost, for President Igor Dodon and the others. I think this could happen very, very soon.

He has no problem with attending the parliamentary session, but we do not want to risk the life and security of the president. This means that Shor will come to the plenary of the parliament with certain guarantees,” said Tauber in an interview to Free Europe.

Tauber claims that Shor has more information that could make Dodon look bad. Tauber mentions that this is why Dodon does not want to see Shor in the plenary of the parliament or in other public places.

And why is he afraid? Because Mr. Ilan Shor has more information, including about Dodon’s past, but also about many other facts that are known to President Ilan Shor,” says Tauber.

Tauber advised Dodon not to run for the presidency of the country.

He is declining very fast both as a politician, and as the President of Moldova, and as a party leader. Therefore, by September, it would be good for him to check his ratings. I would also give him a friendly suggestion: not to participate in the elections because he will be very surprised to find out his result. People in the country no longer want to support him,” added Tauber.

The leader of the Shor Party has not appeared in public since the Democratic Party withdrew into opposition on June 14, 2019. And prosecutors claim that he left Moldova illegally, passing through Chișinău International Airport, without going through customs or border control.
