The Number of Healthcare Workers Infected with SARS-CoV-2 Reached 2,600
According to the Ministry of Health, Moldova has 18,924 cases of infection with the new type of coronavirus, of which 1,301 are in the breakaway Transnistria region.
In the last 24 hours, 72 people suspected to be infected with COVID-19, were hospitalized at the COVID-19 Center in Chișinău.
There are 373 people in serious condition (of which 24 patients are connected to assisted breathing), 1,012- fair condition, and the other patients in a good condition.
Until now, 2,600 cases of COVID-19 infection have been confirmed among healthcare workers, including physicians-673, nurses-1,192, support staff-227.
The Ministry of Health states that 268 people were treated and discharged, and the number of people who recovered from COVID-19 infection reached 12,456.
Until now the COVID-19 infection provoked 635 deaths.
