Italy Has Closed Its Borders for Moldova and 12 Other States
Italy closed its borders for people arriving from Moldova and 12 other countries. These countries are considered regions with high risk for coronavirus outbreak, reports La Repubblica.
In this context, Moldovan citizens can no longer travel to the peninsula, even with the observance of the self-isolation regime for 14 days upon arrival in Italy.
On July 9, Italy decided to ban travelers from Moldova and another 12 states, these regions with high risk for coronavirus outbreak. The announcement was made by the Italian Ministry of Health.
“There are 13 countries from which all flights will be blocked. People who have been on the territory of these states will no longer be able to enter or transit Italy,” mentions Roberto Speranza, the Italian Minister of Health.
The travel ban applies to:
- Moldova
- Armenia
- Bahrain
- Bangladesh
- Brazil
- Bosnia and Herzegovina
- Chile
- Kuwait
- Northern Macedonia
- Oman
- Panama
- Peru
- Dominican Republic .
