Representatives of the European Parliament and Moldova’s Parliament Hold an Online Meeting
Representatives of the European Parliament and Moldova’s Parliament hold an online meeting of the European Union (EU)-Moldova Parliamentary Association Committee. The event is co-chaired by the chairman of the European Parliament delegation for relations with Moldova, Siegfried Mureșan.
On June 10, representatives of the European Parliament and of Moldova will meet during an online meeting of the EU – Moldova Parliamentary Association Committee.
The officials will discuss the implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU by Moldova, the €100 million macro-financial assistance of the EU for Moldova, but also other important issues of the EU-Moldova relationship.
“We will also discuss the assistance provided by the EU to Moldova in the context of the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Siegfried Mureșan.
Mureșan reiterated that the EU will provide financial assistance if Moldova will make progress in the field of justice reform and public administration, strengthen the rule of law, but also fight corruption.
