These values allow us to live together, to become even stronger and more united, contrary to the differences in language, culture, religion, and customs. Solidarity is the pillar on which the functioning of the European Union is based, being applied especially in the relationship with Moldova. I think the coronavirus pandemic has shown more than ever that only through solidarity can we meet any challenge and become even stronger,” declares His Excellency, Mr. Peter Michalko, Ambassador of the European Union Delegation in Moldova.
Europe Day is celebrated on 5 May by the Council of Europe and on 9 May by the European Union. The first recognition of Europe Day was by the Council of Europe, introduced in 1964.
