After, in 2003, through social sites, he got to know a young woman from the town Balti, named Marina Fadievici. In 2005, he came to Moldova, to Balti. He started living in concubinage with the young woman he had met online. In September 2005, the French man founded a company in Moldova “PS – International” Ltd., with foreign capital, as an administrator appointing Marina Fadievici.
Patrick specialized the company in market research activities and public opinion poll, in intermediation for selling a wide assortment of merchandise, buying and selling of own real estate, culture of fruits, vegetables and seeds, including sugar beet, and in based wholesale on tarrifs or contracts.
The trap of the French man who opened a business in Balti
For things to run smoothly, French citizen decided to buy 100 acres of farmland. Under the legislation, the right of sale of agricultural land belongs to the state, individuals, Moldovan citizens, and legal entities whose share capital does not include foreign investment. Thus, Patrick made repeated transfers of money, amounting 2.2 million lei, on behalf of Marina Fadievici, to buy and register, formally, lands on her name and later to enter him in possession of goods. In this context, he introduced us to several bank documents, showing that the money transfer was done on behalf of Marina Fadievici .
Subsequently, there was a misunderstanding between them. Patrick ‘s company came to pay annual rent for land purchased from his investment and, also, to pay rent for a car bought also from his money, registered on the name of the woman from Balti. In 2012, at the request of Patrick Sannier, Balti Prosecutor initiated a criminal case on behalf of Marina Fadievici for offenses listed in Art. 196, par. 4 Penal Code: Causing material damage in large proportions by fraud or breach of trust; if the act is not an appropriation, shall be punished by a fine of up to 40,000 lei or imprisonment for up to three years.
Prosecutor: The trial will do them justice
In March 2013, prosecutors ordered to remove Fadievici from under investigation and to close the case because elements of the offense have not been proven. Three months later, the judge quashed the order of the prosecutor and ordered prosecutors to resume prosecution on behalf of Marina Fadievici. And at the end of 2013, prosecutors have already entirely removed the woman from the prosecution and ruled that the seizure applied on her assets, including the 100 ha of agricultural land, to be raised. Viorel Tureac, Balti prosecutor, sais that Patrick Sannier’s problem can be solved only on civil case. “It is a matter to be resolved on civil case. They concubined over several years. They opened a business together. He hired her in his company. He paid her salary. Activities she was carrying in the company she was reporting to him, how the money were spent and so on. With the amount of money that was transferred from France to Moldova, was purchased land, as he wanted. Subsequently, misunderstandings started. If there were elements of the offense, we would have sent the case to trial without much discussions. He can go to court on a civil case to solve this question. Since they have concubined, only the trial will do them justice. How much and to whom”. thinks Tureac.
She sold 50 acres
According to cadastral information, shortly after the seisure was raised, Marina Fadievici managed to sell half of the land bought on French citizens money. On the other hand, in 2012, Patrick did
staff reorganizations in his company. He dismissed Marina Fadievici from her position and appointed in her place Valeriu Albot. Patrick intends his company to, shortly, export to the foreign market fruits and vegetables, especially in European countries.
Patrick Sannier was born in France, but for several years is living in Vienna, Austria. Also there he is working as a manager in a transport company. In recent years, he was coming to Moldova once a month, to solve issues regarding his business. But since the trials began, he comes from Vienna to
every court hearing. “It’s complicated to be summoned to the court and for it to be postponed for few weeks. I come from Vienna” he said, beeing angry with the justice from Moldova.
Marina Fadievici: He has no right over the land
Currently, Patrick is judging at the court of Balti, in a civil case, through which he requested to be refunded the amount of 2.2 million lei which he invested in agricultural land. At the first hearing on 4th of February, magistrates decided to sequester the 50 hectares of land, that still remained in the property of the women from Balti. The next meeting will be held in March, this year. “I’d be happy with 50-50. She sold the flat, the lands… But to not leave me with nothing.
I think it is a big problem with the justice here. I do not know what are the chances to solve the problem here. If not done right in Moldova, I will appeal to Strasbourg”, says Patrick.
He said he posted an alert on anti-scam.org as “Marina has deceived three other men in similar situations. I wrote there so that other honest people do not fall into the trap”. Contacted by ZdG, Marina Fadievici claims that Patrick does not have any ownership over the land, because officially she is the owner. “We lived together. He kicked me out of it … Now we judge and we’ll see who’s right. He can not charge me until there is a final decision of the court”, she said .
