Moldova’s Leadership Receives Incomes of Thousands of Euros
Although they had incomes of thousands of euros, the representatives of the top leadership of the country do not indicate any significant purchases in 2019.
Moldova’s President Igor Dodon declared an income of around 12,000 euros, which is around 1,000 euros per month. His wife Galina Dodon received last year revenues of over 20,000 euros or around 2,000 euros per day, from Exclusive Media company. The Dodon family declared a land, a house and a 76,000 euros loan obtained in 2013. These assets appeared in the declarations for the previous years as well. As in the previous declarations, the presidential family does not declare to own any cars.
Prime Minister Ion Chicu, took the office in November 2019. He declared for the previous year incomes of around 13,000 euros. He received around 800 euros salary for the Prime Minister position. He also was Minister of Finance till June 2019 and received over 9,000 euros. And after the June 2019 change of power, Chicu became Dodon’s adviser from July to November 2019, receiving an income of over 2,000 euros. Chicu’s wife declared a salary of around 7,000 euros.
The Chicu family declares three agricultural lands, a vila, and a Suzuki Vitara car made and bought in 2015 worth over 10,000 euros. In 2018, the Prime Minister contracted a 5,000 euros loan with a nine percent interest rate that he needs to repay.
The President of the Parliament, Zinaida Greceanîi, received in 2019 revenues amounting to around 16,000 euros. She received a yearly salary of around 8,000 euros, a compensation of around 600 euros, a yearly pension of 7,000 euros or around 600 euros monthly, an allowance of 300 euros and over 100 euros from land leasing. Her husband declared a pension of over 2,000 euros.
According to the declaration of assets and personal interests, the Greceanîi family owns three lands, a house and a Volkswagen LT28 car and also uses a Honda CR-V.
