    Prime Minister Maia Sandu Announces a New Member of the Advisory Team to Promote Justice Reform in Moldova

    After a meeting with the former Prosecutor General of Romania, Augustin Lazăr, Prime Minister Maia Sandu announced on her Facebook page that the Romanian official will be part of the advisory team to promote justice reform in Moldova.   

    Prime Minister Maia Sandu announced in a Facebook post that Augustin Lazăr, former Prosecutor General of Romania will join the advisory team to promote justice reform in Moldova. 

    Prime Minister Sandu mentioned that together with the Romanian official she discussed the justice reform and fight against corruption in Moldova. 

    “He shared several aspects from his own experience as head of the Public Ministry, but also appreciated our initiatives to reform the prosecutor’s offices. 
    Real changes can only be possible with the support of honest people, who show firmness and courage in the fight against money laundering and big corruption. We need such a prosecutor in the Republic of Moldova and we hope that we can also rely on the experience and professionalism of people like Augustin Lazar,” the Prime Minister mentioned in the Facebook post.
