Alexandr Pînzari’s candidacy was approved by Parliament on Thursday 17 August as deputy director of the National Anti-Corruption Centre (NAC). The draft resolution providing for this was supported by 53 MPs.

Lieutenant-Colonel Alexandr Pînzari has been working in the NAC since 2016 and currently serves as the head of the Territorial General Directorate “North” of the National Anti-Corruption Centre. Alexandr Pînzari has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in law and previously worked at the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Alexandr Pînzari’s mandate as Deputy Director of the NAC will be for the remaining period of the current Director.

According to the law, the director of the National Anti-Corruption Centre is assisted by two deputies, who are appointed to the post by the Parliament, on the proposal of the director, for the duration of the director’s mandate.

According to Pînzari’s latest declaration of assets and personal interests for 2022, he has raised a monthly salary of about 29 thousand lei. The Pînzari family owns, as of 2021, an apartment with an indicated value of just over 12 thousand lei. At the same time, the new deputy director of the NAC has, from 2021, the right to live in a house of almost 70 square meters.

His family also owns two cars. The new deputy director’s wife has to repay a €15,000 loan by 2025.
