Another MP leaves Socialist Party to join the “Movement for the People”, coordinated by Shor
Irina Lozovan leaves the Party of Socialists, joining the “Movement for the People”. She made an announcement on her Facebook page.
The reason for her departure would be the lack of a leader, but also the fact that the PSRM would not have succeeded in achieving all its goals:
“Unfortunately, PSRM cannot survive without a leader. We, previously the biggest opposition force, have failed to fight this anti-people regime, which has reduced people to poverty. It is regrettable that colleagues refused to gather all their forces to go out together to the streets and fight for the people.
That is why I decided to join the ‘Movement for the People’ and become an independent MEP. I will be with the people of our country, on the streets, to defend their interests”, explains Lozovanu.
Earlier, MP Alexandr Nesterovschi announced on Wednesday evening, 15 March, that he is leaving the PSRM and will join the “Movement for the People”, which also includes the “Shor” party. Subsequently, another 10 mayors elected on the PSRM list announced that they were leaving the party and joining the Movement coordinated by Ilan Shor. In this context, Vlad Batrîncea said that over the last 8-9 months there have been several attempts to bribe PSRM members to leave the party and make statements in support of another party.
