Military vehicles on the national route Leuseni-Chisinau: Moldova to receive a donation of medical protective equipment from Romania
The National Army is to receive a consignment of protective medical equipment from the Ministry of National Defence in Bucharest on January 19-20 on behalf of the government in Chisinau. According to the Ministry of Defence, the military vehicles involved in the transport of medical supplies will travel on the Leuseni-Chisinau national route.
Thus, the authorities urge citizens to refrain from distributing images of military equipment online “in order not to generate misinformation”.
“The medical supplies are donated by the Romanian side in the context of preventing and combating SARS-CoV-2 infection,” the ministry explains.
The medical supplies, amounting to more than 7 million Romanian lei (roughly equivalent to 30 million lei), include: 1,000 visors, 9,000 boxes of gloves, 2,000 plastic safety goggles, 3 million surgical masks and 500,000 protective masks.
The medical supplies will be transported from the Leuseni customs point by military trucks belonging to the National Army and will be distributed to the Material Reserves Agency and the Central Military Clinical Hospital.
