    The Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP) has appointed prosecutors Aliona Nesterov and Igor Demciucin as deputies of acting Prosecutor General Ion Munteanu. The decision was approved at the CSP meeting on 16 January 2023.

    The decision of the CSP will be forwarded to the interim Prosecutor General for the start of the procedures for issuing administrative acts appointing the two deputies during the mandate of the interim Prosecutor General.

    Aliona Nesterov began her career in 2011 in the Prosecutor’s Office of the Ciocana sector of Chisinau municipality. According to magistrat.md, in 2016, Aliona Nesterov was appointed to the position of prosecutor in the Prosecutor’s Office of Chisinau municipality. In September 2022, Aliona Nesterov was appointed interim deputy chief prosecutor of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office (PA).

    According to her most recent declaration of assets and personal interests, in 2021, Nesterov earned salary income of 351 407 lei from her position as a prosecutor in the PA.

    The Nesterovs own two apartments. One of 63,600 square meters, which would be worth 377 028 lei, obtained through a donation contract, another of 49,8 square meters, obtained through a sale-purchase contract, which would be worth 279 853 lei. Aliona Nesterov owns a Toyota Auris Plus car worth 138 thousand lei.

    In the autumn of 2022, Igor Demciucin was appointed as acting deputy chief prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Organised Crime and Special Cases (PCCOCS), according to magistrat.md. Igor Demciucin was appointed in August 2016 as a prosecutor in the Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Organised Crime and Special Cases (PCCOCS).

    According to the statement of personal assets and interests for 2021, Demciucin had a total salary of about 344 thousand lei in 2021. The prosecutor owns an apartment of about 36 square meters, but since 2021 he has the right to use a residential house of more than 70 square meters which is owned by another person.
