Prosecutor Victor Furtună, appointed as interim deputy head of the Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Organised Crime and Special Cases
Anti-corruption prosecutor Victor Furtună was appointed on Thursday, 17 November, by members of the Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP) as interim deputy head of the Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Organised Crime and Special Cases (PCCOCS).

According to magistrat.md, Victor Furtună has held the position of anti-corruption prosecutor since April 2019. In 2016, he was appointed as a prosecutor in the Chisinau Municipal Prosecutor’s Office. Previously, Victor Furtună also held the position of prosecutor in the Buiucani District Prosecutor’s Office, Chisinau municipality.
On 1 November, the PSC rejected the candidacy of former acting Prosecutor General Dumitru Robu for the position of acting deputy head of the PCCOCS. At that time, the request for agreement to Dumitru Robu’s appointment was submitted by interim Prosecutor General Ion Munteanu.
According to the latest declaration of personal assets and interests, Victor Furtună earned in 2021 a salary of 335 319 lei as a prosecutor in the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office. Last year, he received an allowance of 7603 lei and an allowance of 136 701 lei.
The Storm family owns an apartment of 78.2 square metres obtained through an investment contract for the construction of the living space, which is said to be worth 527 666 lei. At the same time, the Furtună family owns an apartment of 78.8 square metres worth 26 313 euros.
Also in his assets act, the prosecutor indicates a Nissan Leaf car worth 100 000 lei and a Renault Megane car worth 84 000 lei.
